Frictional Analysis of Cylinder Liner and Piston Ring with Optimization of chamfer Angle using Taguchi Design Method

Abstract
The current research work was discussed about the experimental study of tribological characteristics by changing the surface profile of the piston rings attend by varying its chamfer angle. This paper presents its various angle in conduct the experiments the reciprocating the friction process optimized to improve the efficiency and reducing the friction based on mixed L27 Tagughi orthoganal design with three process parameters chamfer angle, load,temperature .It is observed that which chamfer angle have the most significant influence on frictional force and the interaction of load and temperature has some significant on influence of piston ring.
