A Review on Improvement of Power Quality Using a Facts Device- DSTATCOM

Abstract

The term Electric Power quality has gained an increasing attention in power systems engineering in the recent years. At present there are many solutions to the power quality improvement, but this paper is based on a FACTS device- DSTATCOM. This paper focuses on Distribution Static Compensator (D-STATCOM) and addresses the different methodologies available for the improvement of power quality. The paper discusses detail description and configuration of the recently introduced methodologies using DSTATCOM.
