Abstract

During the production of various mechanical components by the machining process of turning, there are various parameters taken into consideration during the process viz. depth of cut, spindle speed, environmental conditions, feed rate used, types of tools incorporated during the machining etc. This paper focuses on analysis of effects of these machining parameters on tool life and other supporting output parameters such as power consumed during the process, tool tip temperature generated, vibrations incorporated, noise levels produced and models for the same.
