Abstract

Thermal comfort is defined as the state of mind that expresses satisfaction with surrounding environment. The objective of this project is to find thermal comfort of driver by changing the location of outlet vent. Four different positions of outlet vent has been taken into consideration for the study of thermal comfort. Analysis has been done by imposing proper boundary conditions for all the four cases. ANSYS Fluent an simulation tool has been used for performing the analysis. Temperature at different body parts of driver for each different case has been noted and thus thermal comfort has been found out .Flow patterns of different case has also been shown in the paper.
